How can I help Tony Bunday to win?

Social Media.

This election will be largely fought online.  So please like and follow Tony on social media (@tonybunday) and help by liking, commenting on, and sharing what is posted.

You can also follow Tony on his Facebook page to stay updated with his campaign.

Encourage voting.

Please tell your friends, colleagues, and contacts how important local elections are. As well as influencing what happens locally they provide an indicator to Central Government as to how popular their policies  and can make a real difference.

People should vote in these elections, and use BOTH votes.   Tell them that their vote is more likely to make a difference for the PCC election than in many other elections due to having a second preference vote.   And of course, tell them why Tony is a great candidate and will make a great PCC.    He is uniquely qualified amongst the candidates to do this job.  The only one with real relevant experience!

It is good – and responsible – to encourage people to register for a postal vote.

Community contact etc

Tony is very keen to have contact with, and talk to, community and professional groups of all sorts, including unions, about their experiences of crime and Police matters.   He will gladly make himself available for (zoom etc.) meetings.   If you know of any, then please put them in touch with him.

He is seeking to meet with all Constituency Labour Parties.  He is keen to blend his campaign in with theirs as the local elections are the same day.   CLP’s can get my message out to local people and he can boost their campaign’s if his is effective as Police and Crime issues are a key part to get over with a positive message.  Not least how the Tories have de-funded the police

Your community

Please be eyes and ears in your community.  Let us know what Police and crime issues are affecting you.  Please keep an eye on local press.  Write letters and make comments where possible and appropriate.  Encourage people to vote.  Expose the Tory record on Police and crime.  etc.   We can provide guidance but happy for people to respond appropriately and independently.

Post lock-down.

If/once lock-down lifts, Tony will be keen to get out and about in communities.  Tony did manage a day in Portsmouth just before the new lock-down when he toured the City, meeting with the Labour MP, councillors and candidates, and residents and businesses. It was really helpful. (See website).  He would like to repeat this all across the two Counties.

If really keen, please volunteer to help on the election phone bank, via your local CLP, If lock-down ends then we will have leaflets to deliver – but in conjunction with CLP’s – so again contact your CLP.

If really, REALLY, keen then we are about to put a “donate to the campaign button” on our website and FB pages.  Even a small donation can help boost our campaign.

Thank you for your support!
